NCTC PRESIDENT ANNOUNCES HIS UPCOMING RETIREMENT….
DR. HADLOCK ASSURED THE BOARD THAT THEY HAVE A QUALITY FACULTY AND STAFF AND IT HAS BEEN A PLEASURE TO BE ON THE SAME TEAM WITH THEM. HE STATED THAT THE COLLEGE HAS PROVIDED EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES TO THOUSANDS OF STUDENTS FOR THE PAST 90 YEARS, THE COLLEGE HAS A BRIGHT FUTURE, AND THAT IT WILL MEET ANY CHALLENGES TO CONTINUE PROVIDING QUALITY EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES TO THE CITIZENS OF NORTH TEXAS. ALSO AT MONDAY’S MEETING, REGENTS APPROVED THE ACADEMIC CALENDAR FOR FALL 2014 THROUGH SUMMER 2015. THEY ALSO APPROVED THE EMPLOYMENT OF ROBIN BARTOLETTI AS AN INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER FOR THE “RITA” GRANT, AND APPROVED THE RESIGNATION OF DIRECTOR OF ADMISSIONS AND REGISTRAR KARI FORD. NCTC VICE-PRESIDENT OF STUDENT SERVICES DR. BILLY ROESSLER UPDATED REGENTS ON SPRING 2014 ENROLLMENT. SYSTEM-WIDE, NCTC HAS 9,328 STUDENTS THIS SPRING, WHICH IS DOWN 0.6 PERCENT FROM LAST SPRING. DIVERSITY IN ETHNICITY CONTINUES TO INCREASE WITH 18.7 PERCENT OF THE TOTAL HEADCOUNT REPRESENTED BY HISPANICS, COMPARED WITH 17.2 PERCENT IN SPRING 2013.
